Le Bec en Sabot

Bernard Thomassin, amateur ornithologist, always liked this rare, strong and solitary species of bird which grows to 1.5m and lives in the papyrus swamps of East Africa. So much so that he has called one of his wines after it. Deep garnat colour ; nose of peach and raspberry with a light touch of iodine followed by strong toasted notes ; Well-balenced palate, toasted and peppery.

Soil : Deep Pyrennean gravel, often with a limestone-clay substrata.

Grape variety : Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) and Merlot (50%)

Serving suggestions : A classique Bordeaux, this wine goes well with all types of dishes, while its presentation is one that is sure to become one of the topics of conversation during the meal.
